The Charles Towne Flute Quartet will present “DANCE!” at 2:00 pm, Saturday, May 4, 2024. Beginning with Handel’s “Hornpipe,” from Water Music Suite, the group will perform a variety dance music, ending with Bernstein’s “Mambo” from West Side Story.  The concert will include works by Strauss, Brahms, Borodin, Tchaikovsky, and Joplin, among others.

2024 marks the Quartet’s twelfth year as a performing ensemble in Charleston.  The group plays a wide range of works from Tallis to Bach to Bernstein to Beatles, and has performed at a variety of venues including the North Charleston Arts Festival, children’s concerts at Grace Cathedral’s Little School, as well as services for many area churches.
