In the early hours of Tuesday morning, sofas, tables, and décor were quickly being cleared out to make room for a New Year’s Eve extravaganza. Bishop Gadsden residents and team members watched as the Trawick Commons was transformed to exude even more elegance than usual for all of the guests to enjoy in the evening.
The theme for Tuesday night’s New Year’s Eve festivities was “Feathers and Fedoras.” Residents came dressed to the nines in feathers, fringe, sequins, fedoras, and suspenders to celebrate the occasion. All of our wonderful residents looked as if they had just time-traveled here from the 1920s.
The Anderson Conservatory was adorned with flowers, feathers, sequins, and gold to bring glamor to every edge of the Commons. Winningham Court was transformed into a dance floor, complete with a full band to play tunes that get everyone moving.
Residents enjoyed drinks, dinner, and desserts, all prepared by Bishop Gadsden’s incredible culinary staff. Residents had the choice of seafood, including delicious lobster rolls, charcuterie, or the hot bar, which included Beef Wellington straight from the carving board. To top it off, our talented pastry chefs prepared decadent treats that satisfied that late-night sweet tooth for those who stuck around to get some dancing in before midnight.
Residents thoroughly enjoyed the fanfare and fun that went on to ring in 2020. This party was certainly one fit for Gatsby himself. Happy New Year from Bishop Gadsden!
