What to Watch - 2022 Winter Olympics

The 2022 Winter Olympics opens on Friday, February 4th, and runs until Sunday February 20th – it will be showing on NBC.

It will be held in China in three zones: Beijing, Yanqing and Zhangjiakou and the opening and closing ceremonies will take place in Beijing. There will be ice sports, snow events, Alpine skiing and sliding events as well as ski and snowboarding events. There will be 109 medal events across fifteen sports.

Time difference between the US and China for the Winter Olympics will be 13 hours ahead of the Eastern Time Zone. For example: An event that starts at 10am in China on Monday will be at 9pm EDT on Sunday night. You can watch live on the networks of NBC and can stream on NBCSports.com and Peacock.

Super Bowl LVI (56) will take place on Sunday, February 13th. It will be the Los Angeles Rams against the Cincinnati Bengals kicking off at 6:30. The game will be played in Los Angeles, CA, at the SoFi Stadium. Performing in the half-time show will be Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar.

If you like medical-hospital dramas, check out a new CBS series, Good Sam. It plays each week on Wednesday at 9pm. Heart surgeon Dr. Samantha Griffith (Sophia Bush) becomes the top surgeon at Lakeshore Sentinel Hospital after her boss and father, Dr. Rob Griffith (Jason Issacs), falls into a coma. Her life becomes complicated when her father awakens from the coma after six months and wants to resume surgery, which means his daughter will be supervising him. Don’t forget to start at the beginning since Good Sam began in January.

The Grand Seduction on Amazon Prime is a fun movie filmed in Newfoundland. Tickle Head Island needs a resident doctor to solve its financial problems. This is the story of how the islanders led by Murray French attack this problem and about the young doctor, Dr. Paul Lewis, who considers coming there to stay.

The Tender Bar on Amazon Prime is directed by George Clooney and stars Ben Affleck as the uncle of JR, a nine-year-old boy, who, with his mother, moves in with his grandparents on Long Island. Uncle Charlie becomes JR’s surrogate father as he tries to decide whether to be a writer or an attorney.

Words And Pictures on Amazon Prime stars Clive Owen and Juliette Binoche who play two teachers at a private school. He teaches English. A modern artist, she teaches art. She is new at the school and the movie is about their growing relationship.

A Year In Burgundy on Amazon Prime follows seven wine-making families in the Burgundy region of France through the course of a full year. It delves into the cultural and creative process of making wine as well as deep ties to the land. Spring showers, drought, heat waves, hail and storms, harvest moons and the damp cold of winter – they are the story of wine in the eventful year of 2011.

Before the Doc Martin series, there were two Doc Martin movies. The first and the best, Doc Martin, is about a London obstetrician whose wife is unfaithful to him with his three best friends. So he takes off for Cornwell to think about his situation. It’s all about how the Cornish townspeople welcome and engage him on his one-week break.
