On Wednesday, February 23, Bishop Gadsden Episcopal Retirement Community had the pleasure of awarding $206,000 from our Charitable Fund to four wonderful local charities. These dollars were raised by the Bishop Gadsden Community with My Sister’s House receiving $104,000, and The Able Life Foundation, Coastal Crisis Chaplaincy, and Hallie Animal Sanctuary each receiving $34,000 each. Pictured above with the organizations, is Kiki Anderson, the Resident Chair of the 2017 Charitable Fund, and Bill Trawick, Bishop Gadsden’s President/CEO.
The Bishop Gadsden Community – through donations from residents, staff, future residents, board members, friends, and family – is thrilled to assist these organizations through the 2017 Bishop Gadsden Charitable Fund, which in addition to the $206,000 for outside charities, $571,357 was distributed to support residents in financial need. Fundraising for 2018 has already begun with hopes to exceed 2017 giving!
