Get on CALHOUN STREET, heading west. Just past the Medical University and Roper Hospital, Calhoun Street becomes ROUTE 30: JAMES ISLAND / FOLLY BEACH CONNECTOR.

Go straight. Route 30 goes up over two bridges and is 2.9 miles long. Take it until it ends at FOLLY ROAD. Turn left onto FOLLY ROAD, Route 171. Heading toward Folly Beach, go to the third stoplight at Folly and CAMP ROAD. (It is 1.1 miles and there is a gas station on the right.)

Turn right onto CAMP ROAD. Go 0.5 miles to BISHOP GADSDEN COMMUNITY, located on the left and just across from St. James Episcopal Church.


Heading to Charleston on SAVANNAH HIGHWAY, Highway 17 North, turn right on WESLEY DRIVE, Route 171 going to JAMES ISLAND/ FOLLY BEACH.

Go straight. In 0.2 miles, Wesley Drive merges into FOLLY ROAD. Continue straight on Folly Road, Route 171 for just over 3 miles to the stoplight at the corner of Folly and CAMP ROAD. (There is a gas station on the right.)

Turn right onto CAMP ROAD. Go 0.5 miles to BISHOP GADSDEN COMMUNITY, located on the left and just across from St. James Episcopal Church.
Take Interstate 26 East toward Charleston. Take EXIT 221A to merge onto CROSSTOWN/US-17 S toward Savannah. Continue to follow US-17 S.

Take a slight left at FOLLY ROAD. (Follow signs for SC-700/FOLLY BEACH.)

Continue on FOLLY ROAD about 3.4 miles, then turn right onto CAMP ROAD. (There is a gas station on the right.) Go 0.5 miles to BISHOP GADSDEN COMMUNITY, located on the left and just across from St. James Episcopal Church.
