MARTHA & ED ROBERTS Residents since 2006 Local residents for 40 years, the Roberts moved to Bishop Gadsden because they loved the community and valued the extraordinary care their cousin had received while living here. Ed is involved in the Computer Group and the Activities Committee, while Martha runs Eliza's Attic, the on-campus thrift shop. She loves the work because it is always changing. "Our move was simply a change of address. We attend the same church and bridge club. We spend time with the same friends, but we've also made new friends at Bishop Gadsden. We love the people here." |

To her, Bishop Gadsden is like a small town that has everything. A professional and perpetual volunteer, Chance enjoys working on the many resident volunteer opportunities. FRANCES GRIMBALL Resident since 2003 Whether Frances is attending bible study or working in Eliza's Attic, she is having a delightful time. A Charleston resident for 70 years, Frances loves the city's constant flurry of events - much like Bishop Gadsden's calendar. While she appreciates feeling connected to her community, she does enjoy the privacy of her beautiful apartment. "I made up my own mind to live at Bishop Gadsden, and I've never regretted my decision. Everyone is lovely. They go out of their way to help you. There's always something to do, if you so desire. We have a grand time!" |
