Bishop Gadsden Honors Outstanding Nursing Professionals07/22/2010(Charleston, SC, July 16, 2010) – Bishop Gadsden, the Southeast’s leading continuing care retirement community, held a ceremony to honor its outstanding nursing professionals. The Jan Carter Awards were begun in 2001 to honor the work of then Director of Nursing, Jan Carter and the memory of Ellie Ruffle, a resident of Bishop Gadsden, who passed away at the young age of 60 from Alzheimer’s. “Today in celebration of the 10th Jan Carter Awards for Excellence in Service we recognize three deserving caregivers at Bishop Gadsden.
