An indoor saline swimming pool and spa are open year-round, while croquet courts and nature trails beckon for fresh-air activity. Meanwhile, the full-service Spa at Bishop Gadsden offers enviable pampering services, including massages, facials, manicures, and pedicures from a licensed esthetician and an experienced staff.

Health Care Services

Bishop Gadsden offers several convenient forms of health care, including an on-site clinic affiliated with Roper St. Francis and a strong relationship with MUSC. Serving residents’ regular and specialty medical needs, the clinic offers x-ray and bloodwork services and welcomes occasional visiting providers, such as podiatrists and dentists. Led by our Roper-affiliated medical director, our robust clinic staff includes LPNs, physicians assistants, and a nursing team.

Further streamlining care, Bishop Gadsden also boasts an on-site pharmacy. Working closely with our medical team, our resident pharmacist ensures residents’ prescriptions are quickly and easily accessible. While we encourage residents to take advantage of this service, we also maintain vendor partnerships with several outside pharmacies who deliver directly to our campus.

Spiritual Services

Bishop Gadsden’s identity as a faith-based community lies at the heart of our campus. Though officially associated with The Episcopal Church, our chapel hosts weekly services for residents of various traditions, including Methodist, Presbyterian, and Catholic services and Jewish Shabbat.

In addition, residents and their families can receive counseling and spiritual guidance from our chaplain and pastoral staff, and participate in bible studies and other community groups.
